Portrait of Allie Haze

Allie Haze is an American adult-film performer whose career includes screen parody, the Emmanuelle series and documentary interviews. Raised in Southern California, she brought an early interest in theatre to a professional career that began in 2009.

Allie Haze

The person behind the name

Allie Haze grew up in San Bernardino County, California. Before her screen career, she took part in theatre, pageants and modelling. Her early ambitions also included firefighting, and she worked as a bartender before entering adult films. By the early 2010s, her work ranged from studio productions to an established international screen character.

Her interviews reveal an interest in acting beyond simply appearing on camera. She discussed studying scripts, preparing for auditions and working with familiar production teams. As Brittany Joy, she took the lead in Emmanuelle; under the name Allie Haze, she played Princess Leia in an Axel Braun parody and appeared in Deborah Anderson’s documentary Aroused.

A background in performance

Haze’s interest in acting began before her professional film work. At school, she took part in theatre and travelled to competitions involving monologues. She also worked with an acting coach when she was younger.

Pageants, modelling and cheerleading were among her early activities. She entered adult-film work in 2009, bringing previous experience of performance to a career that would include scripted roles as well as other screen work.

Learning a studio routine

After around two years working without an exclusive contract, Haze signed with Vivid. In a 2012 interview, she described regularly working with the same team and welcomed the opportunity to develop ideas together.

Her preparation included reading the script, discussing hairstyles and makeup, and planning the day’s scenes. B. Skow was her main collaborator at that stage, while Axel Braun directed other projects in which she appeared.

Arriving as Princess Leia

For her audition as Princess Leia, Haze wore ordinary clothes but arranged her own hair in the character’s distinctive buns. She wanted to work with Axel Braun and was already familiar with Star Wars through her enthusiasm for Harrison Ford.

The role came before her studio contract. She later recalled a fourteen-day production, considerably longer than the shorter shoots she was used to. The performance brought together her interest in science fiction and her experience with dialogue-driven acting.

The Emmanuelle chapter

Haze performed as Brittany Joy in the Emmanuelle series. In her 2013 interview with William Bibbiani, she recalled producer Alain Siritzky approaching her at an AdultCon event and the project developing from that meeting.

Filming occupied approximately three and a half to four months. She temporarily moved from San Bernardino to Hollywood and stepped away from her usual studio schedule. The experience gave her an extended period working on one screen character before returning to other projects.

Taking part in Aroused

Deborah Anderson’s Aroused brought Haze into a documentary built around portraits and conversations with adult-film performers. A friend introduced her to Anderson after her Emmanuelle work, and Haze became one of the people interviewed.

Discussing the film in 2013, she said its focus remained on the individual experiences behind the public image. She valued the atmosphere Anderson and her crew created during the interview and photography, and felt the finished film retained that original intention.

Magazine recognition and personal interviews

Haze was selected as Penthouse’s January 2014 Pet of the Month. The announcement accompanied a magazine interview and a photographic feature by Cisco Lamessi. She described the selection as an honour and spoke warmly about the energy of the shoot.

Her later conversations continued to address working life beyond individual productions. In 2016, she sat down with writer Rich Moreland during the Adult Entertainment Expo, helping find a quieter place for an interview that lasted more than half an hour.
